Old Government House, QUT Gardens Point

The welcome reception will be held in Old Government House, one of Queensland’s most important heritage sites. Built in 1862, it was the official residence for Queensland Governors until 1910. The Kidney Lawn, facing the Botanical Gardens, is also part of the site, and features a heritage-listed tree. Old Government House is located in the heart of the QUT Gardens Point campus directly adjacent to the other facilities used by the 22nd AFMC.
The Great Court, UQ St Lucia Campus

The Great Court was designed in the mid-1930s by Queensland Government architects Hennessy, Hennessy & Co., it was envisioned as a modern take on European quadrangles of monasteries and universities. The Vice Chancellors, Provosts, relevant Executive Deans and Heads of School of both QUT & UQ will be invited to join the 22nd AFMC participants.
