In 2016, QUT was listed as Queensland’s top university under 50 years old in the Times Higher Education listing. The Gardens Point Campus is adjacent to the Queensland Botanical Gardens, and to the Brisbane CBD itself, on the riverfront.

We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus for AFMC2020.
Situated on 114 hectares of Brisbane River-bound land, UQ’s main campus is a vibrant mix of majestic sandstone buildings and contemporary architecture; landscaped gardens and lakes. Fanning out from the heritage-listed Great Court, you’ll find modern teaching and research facilities, including laboratories, lecture theatres, and Queensland’s largest research library.
The St Lucia campus is only seven kilometres from Brisbane’s city centre, making it an appealing place to study, work or visit.

Parking
QUT Gardens Point Campus
The campus is in the CBD of Brisbane and accessible by train, bus, ferry or taxi. The campus has its own CityCat stop, and is a 15 minute walk from Central Station. Please consult Translink to plan your travel.
Car parking is available on a casual basis at these locations:
- P Block (under the Science and Engineering Centre)
- Under freeway car park.
A special delegate rate of $5 per hour will be charged. You will need to validate your parking ticket by the Conference Event staff at the Registration Desk to receive this special rate otherwise full day charges ($75) will apply.
Motorcycle parking is available in the above locations or limited free outdoor parks are available on Level 1 of C Block.

UQ St Lucia Campus
Casual parking is available on Sir William MacGregor Drive using the Cellopark app.
The best undercover casual parking is in the P10 car park under the hockey field (reference Zone 1472200). Follow Sir William MacGregor Drive and turn into Blair Drive (near the tennis courts). Then turn into Union Road and follow directions to the carpark entrance.
The fee is $7 per day.
The campus is also linked with a CityCat Ferry stop (a short walk from the conference venues) and buses. Refer to Translink to plan your travel by ferry or bus. The nearest train station is Toowong.
